SRO Meeting Minutes & News

Hello Public Lands Enthusiasts
The Upper Snake Field Office (Idaho Falls, ID) of the BLM would like public input on two projects from the members of your recreational group(s).

The first project is regarding whether portions of the South Fork of the Snake River, the Teton River, or Teton River tributaries are suitable for designation in the National Wild and Scenic Rivers System.

The second project is targeted towards those who engage in recreational activities on areas managed by the Upper Snake Field Office. Input will be utilized for recreation management planning purposes.

Please provide your input by April 30, 2009 at: www.cnr.udaho.edu/uppersnake/input.htm After this date the websites will no longer be available, but you will still be able to provide input directly to the BLM via email, phone, fax, or mail.

Respectfully,

Craig Watt

I really think this is an important cause, and I'd like to encourage you to add your signature, too. It's free and takes less than a minute of your time.

Thanks! chad cannon

Club Update
Hi all!

Sorry I haven't sent out an Email lately, But i want to let you know what has been going on.

Recently Travis and I were invited to attend some BLM roundtable discussions with other user groups to give our input on the new RMP proceedings. We sat down with hunters, photographers, archery enthusiasts, campers, boaters, birdwatchers and just about every other enthusiast you can think of. We gave our input as to the way that the BLM should recognize the 4x4 sport as well as preserving these other activities. It was great to be able to work with these other groups and see how much we all have in common. (i.e. love for the outdoors and preserving it for the future)

The club run this month will be to the St Anthony sand dunes this Sat the 15th. With the amount of moisture we are having the dunes should be great, hard and smooth. we are meeting at Valley Wide in rexburg at 9 am and leaving at 9 30. remember your flags. Congrats to our member Cory Casper for placing 3rd in the recent TTC in Mt Home!!!!

The Last thursday of THIS month and you are probably know is thanksgiving. we have decided to move the meeting up one week to the 20th of Nov. It will still be at Godfathers at 7pm. If you know of those that don't get these emails, please get the word out!

As we near the end of the year, remember that club dues will be due by the 1st of Feb. Please start planning to pay them early as some have already done this.

If you have any question or comments, please feel free to contact me anytime! and thanks for being a part of this great club!
